ITINERARY FOR your TRIP

This expedition will make you discovering a big part of the wild west coast of Corsica. We will all meet on day 1 in Ajaccio, if you decide to fly to Corsica, we will pick up from Ajaccio Airport to transfer you on your arrival day in camping U prunelli****  where you can get a rest after your travels and energise for the upcoming sea kayaking expedition. Flights need to be booked in order to arrive in Ajaccio before 19.00p.m (on the arrival day) and leave before 12.00 (on the departure date).

We will meet the next day at 8am for breakfast, load the kayaks with all we need and we are ready to start the adventure. Trips are planned on day-to-day basis taking into account the wind direction as well, as the experience of the group.  Each day departure time is planned for 9.30am and the arrival to different campsites is planned at approximately 5.00pm every evening. Each day involves 5-6 hours of paddling with 2 generous stops allowing plenty of time for swimming, snorkelling, relaxing and lunch.

In the evenings, after a swim in the warm Mediterranean sea, you will get to enjoy a traditional apéritif with Corsican cheese, local charcuterie, fresh bread and french wine! Together, we all prepare lunches (salads) for the following day and hot meal for dinner. The menu is available upon request, we can make adjustments to your specific diet or allergies, just let us know.

DAY 2 to DAY 9 : 8 days expeditionning on the west Coast
DAY 9 to DAY 10 : Transfer back to Ajaccio and Night in an organized Campground nearby Ajaccio
DAY 10 : Transfer back from your accomodation to Ajaccio Airport

Depending on the wind direction, we might decide to do the expedition from calvi to ajaccio, in this case scenario, the day 2 morning can be used to travel directly to calvi (4 hours away from Ajaccio by train through the mountains).

  • Advanced bookings only.  Once you have some dates that suits you, send us an e-mail to check for availablility.  We take bookings up to one year in advance. 
We will organize transfer from the airport of Ajaccio on day 1  before 15:00
We will organize transfer to the airport of Ajaccio on day 10 in order to arrive before 11:00. It can be adjusted to your timetable.
Trips are planned according to the wind direction based on the latest forecast on windfinder.com, therefore it is not known which trip will take place, until the evening before.  Different trip will be planned each day as not to repeat the same within the same week. 
Both double and single kayaks are available. We recommend double kayaks for those with minimal or no kayaking experience.  Double kayaks are useful for matching up paddlers of different strengths and are a great advantage on windy days as they offer increased efficiency and stability.
Paddlers with kayaking experience are welcome to choose from our variety of single kayaks. See our equipment page for a full list of models available.
Your safety is our priority.  Jeremy is experienced and qualified to lead groups in open sea conditions. He know how to keep you safe, handle any emergencies and make your experience enjoyable.  At the launch site, you will be briefed and given safety instruction. We will not begin our journey until everyone has a good understanding of how to handle a kayak and what to expect once underway.
This trip is designed for intermediaire paddler with previous experience in seakayak expedition. We offer differents type of trips for no experience paddlers, check the website to find a trip that suits you
Yes. As an experienced paddler you will be free to roam, while the less-experienced are kept in closer check. A typical day trip involves generous breaks where some may like to swim and relax, while others may prefer to practice their kayaking skills. Jeremy have a special way to teach rolling or other advanced seakayaking skills. There is always the option to paddle a little further or faster. 
A moderate level of fitness is required. Distances paddled each day will range from 12 to 18 km, or about 3-4 hours paddling, with two beach breaks and several rest periods in the kayaks. A good level of physical fitness will allow you to enjoy the trip much more. In addition windy, and/or rough conditions may require a prolonged period of physical exertion. A little stamina and a good attitude are essential in such conditions!
Strong wind can occur at any time of year.  When it is windy we always plan the trip on the sheltered side of the gulf.  Once per month, on average, it is too windy to run a trip.  In this case you have the option to hike from the beach, do some kayaking exercise or just relax on the beach
